Green Design and Construction is the practice of planning, designing, building, renovating, and maintaining structures using processes that are environmentally responsible and resource-efficient. Green building limits environmental impacts by conserving as much energy and water as possible by using recycled or renewable materials and 'green' techniques and practices. Green construction also includes installation and maintenance of various systems, such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
