Worcester Joint Apprenticeship & Training Fund has developed a training program designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of electrical journeymen and apprentices to the level required to make safe and code compliant solar installations on homes, and industrial and commercial establishments.
The ultimate goal of this program is to train 120 journeymen and apprentices in a two-year period, to identify 10% of these trainees, and have them obtain a North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NASCEP) certification, as recommended by the NJATC best practices.
Applications accepted daily 8:30 am - 4:00 pm at Local 96’s office. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of algebra with a passing grade of C. An aptitude test will be administered by the IBEW. See website for contact information.
