PROGRAM INFO
Get hands-on training and earn while you learn as a mechanical insulation apprentice. This program provides on-the-job training and classroom instruction, so that apprentices are fully qualified to meet the professional challenges of the insulation industry.
The 1,600 hour-per-year program is structured for:

Entry-level workers
Those already working in the insulation industry who wish to upgrade their skills and to advance to journeyman status
Heat and Frost Insulators apply insulation materials to pipes, tanks, boilers, ducts, refrigeration equipment and other surfaces requiring the thermal control of temperatures or soundproofing. Workers also do removal of hazardous waste and clean duct systems.
Apprentices must attend 640 classroom hours of training and complete 6,400 on the job hours to graduate.
