Service, operations and installation will be covered in detail. Modern office buildings, apartment buildings, manufacturing plants and hospitals are using complex refrigeration systems. All students are trained in an individualized environment. Classes are taught with actual working models, visual aids and factory representative lectures.

Objective: The objective of this course is to train candidates in the basic principles of commercial and industrial refrigeration. The Peterson School also provides exam preparation and testing for EPA certification.

  • Fundamental refrigeration & air conditioning practices
  • Pneumatic controls applied to Refrigeration and Air Conditioning systems
  • Components & Systems electric controls compressor construction
  • Leak testing systems
  • Refrigerant charging & testing applied toward residential A/C systems
  • Chilled water systems, condensers, and heat exchangers
  • Refrigerant controls & devices applied in conjunction with absorption and centrifugal refrigeration machines
  • Train & test students for CFC Refrigerant Certification
