The training will follow the Building Performance Institute’s (BPI) Standards including setting up the house, establishing worst case conditions and working with multiple combustion appliance zones (CAZ). This program does not provide national certification, but BPI Continuing Education Credits will be available.

Combustion Safety Testing Objectives:

• Mission of Combustion Safety Testing;
• Understand the system relationship of conditioning the air in the house;
• Understand the principles of the combustion process;
• Appreciate “safety first” and apply that criteria to gas and oil systems;
• Recognize the NFPA venting categories;
• Conduct a combustion safety test and interpret results
