Quality Control Inspector training will provide the groundwork for new/existing weatherization workers to expand their knowledge of weatherization. The training will help individuals understand how a QC ensures completion of work performed according to specifications and standards, perform safety and diagnostic tests, record and report findings, and how to deal with corrective actions based upon the building audit.

The curriculum for this course is aligned with the NREL Job Task Analyses (JTAs). This training is primarily done in the classroom, and with hands-on activities in the lab conducting diagnostic testing with IR infrared thermo imaging devices. Students will be required to pass a final exam on the last day of training in order to receive a certificate of completion. This is a 40 hour session taught over 5 days.
