First-Line Supervisor

First-Line Supervisors, such as team leaders, shift leaders, or division leaders, directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production of clean energy products and operating workers. They can be involved in various divisions such as inspection, precision machinery, machine operations, assembly, fabrication, and plant and system operations.

EXAMPLE SCENARIO

A First-Line Supervisor is managing the morning shift in a plant that is producing PV monitoring displays for residential homes. The Supervisor communicates with each assembly worker during the morning meeting to set the production schedule and expectations for the day. Throughout the day, the Supervisor ensures the equipment is running properly, material needs are met, and production is on schedule to reach the daily requirement of 75 units per shift.
